This battery pack holds 10 AA batteries and powers the satellite finder and LNB. You can aim the dish prior to running cable. Also,by isolating the receiver and
cable lines, there is no doubt about the LNB or dish
positioning. If the dish is peaked with this battery
pack and you still have a problem, it would be between
your cable run and your receiver. This is a great accessory especialy for installers. Know forsure you have line of site without obstructions before runningcables and doing the complete installation.
