The Birdog meter is an innovative, professional quality satellite identification and alignment meter. Easy to operate, it is designed with an integrated signal strength and picture quality gauge for fast and efficient installation. Designed mostly for professional installers, its ease of use also makes it an excellent purchase for do-it-yourselfers who won't settle for anything less than the best. How the Birdog Meter Works The Birdog meter uses USID (unique satellite information data) in order to communicate with digital satellite transmissions. Typically, such devices are only capable of giving you a sense that there are satellites in the sky and giving you a peek at their signals. The Birdog is actually capable of identifying the satellite based on the signal it is emitting. To operate the Birdog meter, start by connecting it to your satellite dish. From the menu on the display, choose between the types of two-way broadband satellites you are looking for, then move the dish until the Birdog meter says "found." The meter will then indicate the necessary information--such as signal level and digital data error rates--to optimize your alignment. The Birdog may seem too easily used to believe--but it truly is that simple. At Bestway Satellite, we are proud to include the Birdog Meter among the various signal meters we offer our customers. In addition to providing the best equipment on the market at some of the lowest prices, we believe in the importance of quality customer service. With over 15 years of experience in the satellite equipment industry, our specialists can help answer any of your questions or concerns directly over the phone or via email.
